About this Calculator
This basic calculator performs the four fundamental arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It mirrors the experience of a classic pocket calculator with a clean, modern interface. Keyboard input is fully supported — use number keys, operators (+, -, *, /), Enter for equals, Backspace to delete, and Escape to clear.
Special Functions
The % key divides the current number by 100, useful for quick percentage calculations. The +/− key toggles the sign of the displayed number between positive and negative. AC (All Clear) resets the entire calculation, and ← (backspace) removes the last digit entered.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Use your keyboard for faster input: digits 0–9, period (.) for decimal, +, -, *, / for operations, Enter or = for the result, Backspace to remove a digit, Escape to clear, and % for the percent function. The calculator chains operations smoothly, computing intermediate results as you press each operator.
