Common Percentage Calculations
- Finding X% of Y: Multiply Y by X/100. For example, 25% of 200 = 200 × 0.25 = 50
- Finding what % X is of Y: Divide X by Y and multiply by 100. For example, 50 is (50/200) × 100 = 25% of 200
- Percent change: ((New Value - Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. A positive result is an increase, negative is a decrease
