About the Easy Grade Calculator
Teachers, professors, and teaching assistants can use this quick grading tool when checking a quiz or test. Enter the total number of questions and count the wrong answers; the calculator subtracts missed questions from the total, divides correct answers by total questions, and multiplies by 100. The score is displayed as a whole number by default, with an optional one-decimal view, while the letter grade is assigned from the exact percentage so rounding never moves a student across a threshold. For weighted assignments or a course average, use the Grade Calculator instead.
The reference table lists every possible number missed, making it useful while grading a stack of identical papers: a 20-question quiz shows all 21 outcomes at a glance. The default US scale is visible and editable: A starts at 90%, B at 80%, C at 70%, D at 60%, and F is below 60%. Schools can change those thresholds for a department policy or plus/minus-free classroom scale; a valid custom scale is remembered on this device. Percentages are calculated as (total questions − missed questions) ÷ total questions × 100. Counts must be whole numbers, missed questions cannot exceed the total, and the complete table supports up to 1,000 questions so no rows are silently omitted.
