About this calculator
A clicks-per-second test measures how many clicks you register over a fixed interval. Press Start, then use the click area until time runs out. The Start press is not counted. If you register 30 clicks during a five-second test, your average is 30 ÷ 5 = 6 CPS. The live counter and countdown let you follow the session without doing the arithmetic yourself.
Short tests emphasize burst speed, while longer tests measure consistency and can be tiring. Mouse hardware, touch input, browser scheduling and your clicking technique affect results. Performance labels are informal descriptions, not medical, competitive or population-based benchmarks. Use comfortable movements and stop if your hand or wrist hurts.
Compare attempts with the same duration and input device. The timer uses elapsed time rather than assuming each screen update arrives exactly on schedule, and clicks after the deadline do not count.
